Vacuum Metalizing Process
Vacuum metallizing is the process of evaporating aluminum or some other metal inside a vacuum chamber forming a metallic cloud that bonds to the plastic to create a uniform metalized layer that shines like chrome While the nature of vacuum metalizing does not make it a good candidate for most automotive applications, it is used for nameplates, badges & emblems, interior trim products, and many lamp house applications, decorative metallic and chrome like finishes, highly reflective coatings, heat shielding, vapor barriers, other items (buttons, toys, religious items, fittings) and many more.
